| As of 31.12.98 Mr. Rudolf Langer, Dipl. Ing.,
the managing director of the Special Machines Division, entered his well deserved
retirement.
Mr. Langer, who joined the company 40 years ago, was decisively involved in the development and success of Lindauer DORNIER GmbH and its worldwide leadership in the manufacture of machines for the processing of plastic films. Simultaneously, he promoted the marketing of drying plants and was also instrumental in the development of the program for our textile finishing ranges for tubular knit goods. Mr. Peter D. Dornier, Dipl. Ing., who until now was responsible for the production and marketing of weaving machines, has taken over responsibility for the assignments previously under the direction of Mr. Langer and will be supported by two experienced executives. While Mr. Peter Dornier, Dipl. Ing., remains Chairman of the Board, Mr. Peter D. Dornier was appointed Spokesman for the Board during the shareholders meeting held earlier this year.Thus the Board of Directors is as follows:Mr. Peter Dornier, Dipl. Ing., Chairman of the Board; Mr. Peter D. Dornier, Dipl. Ing., Spokesman of the Board, responsible for sales and marketing for weaving machines and special machines, as well as the engineering of special machines; Dr. Heinrich Ahner, Director, responsible for the commercial sector; Mr. Horst Kerner, Dipl. Ing., Director, responsible for all manufacturing, engineering of weaving machines, and quality assurance. |
