DORNIER casting units
DORNIER supplies casting systems for polypropylene, polyester and PA film production and the largest casting unit so far supplied by DORNIER has been equipped each with a casting drum of 3400 mm diameter. Regardless of the material to be produced, the DORNIER casting systems are very solid and sophisticated in order to avoid any vibrations, which would lead to thickness variation of the film. The DORNIER casting units are movable supported in horizontal direction (for PP and PET) and for the production of polyester film also a vertical adjustment of the casting drum is possible. In case of polypropylene film production the casting units are equipped with water bath and here DORNIER also can supply an extended water bath with high water level up to a distance of approx. 200 mm to the die. DORNIER casting units can be equipped with a second cooling drum or if this is not necessary, with a take-off and reversing roll.
The casting units can be equipped with torque drive systems or with a drive system, where two motors are arranged, of which one is driving and the other one braking. Regardless of the selected drive arrangement, the drive accuracy on DORNIER systems is excellent.
The DORNIER casting systems can be supplied with solid die frames and with pinning systems. On request, wire pinning systems or band pinning systems can be supplied.
