Finishing circular knitted goods with the patented circular expander

Tubular singeing, bleaching and mercerizing have become standard pre-treatment processes to meet the high quality demands for knitted goods. DORNIER first presented a mercerizing machine for circular knitted goods in 1979. The patented system – a motorized adjustable circular expander – very quickly fulfilled all practical demands with regard to quality and commercial efficiency.

On this basis, DORNIER developed a combined mercerizing-bleaching range that can be set up in line or stacked depending on space availability. The versatility of this plant concept ensures extremely economical processing with high machine load efficiency.

Development of DORNIER's circular singeing machine was also based on the proven circular expander. This machine allows intensive singeing free of selvedge marks which in turn brings considerable quality improvements for knitted goods made of either single or twist yarns.

DORNIER provides a complete range of machines for circular knitted goods finishing from one and the same supplier and two further machines have been integrated in this range. The EcoFix® heat setting plant can relax and treat all common circular knitted goods widths made of cotton/Lycra continuously and ideally in tubular state.
